  • For study, scholarship and research

Pirelli HangarBicocca welcomes scholars from a wide range of disciplines who are interested in exploring the themes and iconography of the works on view. We kindly ask visiting students and researchers to review the following guidelines before taking any still or moving images.

The works on view and the exhibition spaces are protected by copyrights belonging to Pirelli HangarBicocca and/or third parties.

Photo and video shoots must be authorized in advance by Pirelli HangarBicocca management, and the results must not be damaging or insulting to the image of the institution, artists, or artworks.

Images of the works must be completely faithful to the artist’s original idea, and never aimed at altering or undercutting their meaning.

Installations, artworks, and portions of the museum structure may in no case be used as a background for posed pictures, especially not with subjects wearing costumes or accessories. Objects, implements, and other creative works may not be brought into Pirelli HangarBicocca and set up in the exhibition areas, outdoor spaces or environs to be photographed or filmed.

Images and/or footage may only be used only the purposes of research, scholarship, and study. They may not be used to promote or publicize any other project, event, or product for purposes other than those listed, especially commercial ones.

Any publication through print, online and/or digital channels must be authorized in advance by Pirelli HangarBicocca management, which reserves the right to examine this material and request modifications or forbid its dissemination in whole or in part.

The exhibition staff is on hand to answer any questions about shooting photographs and/or videos, to help facilitate the success of any iconographic study and ensure the complete satisfaction of both the scholars and Pirelli HangarBicocca.
